Does it really matter if I have GED or high school diploma if I want to be a cosmetologist in Florida?
I want to go to Paul Mitchell The School in Jacksonville, Florida. Is it true that with a GED you make less money, or does this even matter in this type of industry? Will people still hire me if I have a GED rather than a high school diploma? Should I be this worried about it, or am I just being anal. I really want to get my GED. Please help me if you have the right information!

It doesn't matter whether you have a GED or a Diploma..It all depends on your talent, experiance and what Salon you work at.

Practically speaking, a GED is just as good as a high school diploma for this sort of position, and even the lack of both wouldn't necessarily be a bar. If it were a highly technical position like in IT, that might be another story.

Easiest way to find out is to call one up and ask. Offhand, I doubt it requires any advanced degree...it may require some sort of certification however.
