Does Anyone Know Michael Ring who used to live in Jacksonville, Florida?
I'm looking for an old friend of mine from middle school. His name is Mike Ring and he used to be in a few of my classes about 5 or 6 years ago in Middle School (The school name was Landmark Middle School in Jacksonville, FL). I someone at the YMCA today that almost looked like him and then I started thinking. If anyone knows him, could you let me know?

What are the qualifications for obtaining a certificate to teach in the elementary schools of Jacksonville? What are the qualifications for teaching in high schools? What government unit issues each type of certificate? (Is it National? By the District? By State?) For what length of time is each type of certification valid?

Does anyone know of any apartments in jacksonville florida that are all inclusive?
I'm moving to jacksonville florida in april and going to be going to school so I would really rather have an apartment that pays all utilities so I don't have to deal with it so if anyone knows of any apartments please let me know asap!

Melrose Apartments on Kernan (http://www.melrose.com/) is near both Florida State College South Campus and UNF. If you're going to UNF or JU you can get an on-campus apartment as well.

Are schools in Jacksonville Florida any good?
We planned on moving there. We've lived in Florida before, but in Naples. Jacksonville is more north Florida, WAY NORTH. And so, we have a kid thats going into the high school as a freshmen next year and we wanted a good school. We got the accountability and is a majority white school, which is what she wanted. She doesn't like going to a multi racial school because she's white and right now, she goes to one, and there's a lot of "haters" as she calls it, and everyone judges her. She's never had trouble at the schools where we used to live, till now cause shes "white". Not to sound racist. But yea, any stories or info on the schools in Jacksonville? Any other places in Florida that would accommodate this?

Unless you want to pony up for a private school like Bolles, most of the schools in Jacksonville are going to be fairly multiracial.

This summer I am looking for either an adult acting school to participate in to hone my skills or some theatre productions to audition for. I just moved into the Jacksonville-St. Augustine area, so anything within an hour or two would be great. Thanks!

how do i transfer to a school outside of my district, in jacksonville, florida??
how do i transfer to a school outside of my district, in jacksonville, florida??
i am 12 and going into middle school, but my neighborhood school has had many issues. i do not have another neighborhood school, and the one that is not only better but is the same distance away and on my moms way to work so she passes by it. so it would be easier to go to the other school instead of my neighborhood school and its just a better school. well the thing is that i am my moms first child and she has never had to do this kind of thing, like enrolling a child in school, at least not iin the last six years. and like we live in jacksonville florida so we dont know aboutt he district and stuff, so we dont know wat to do!!! how do i go to an outer distict school? like what am i or my mother supposed to do? please answer me cause we really need help and i only have 28 days until i start school!!! so please answer me cause i really really need the help!!!!!!!! thanx :) bailey <3

If your in Florida you can apply to your local School Board for a school choice to another school in your county. That's what my brother did and he went to a school my house isn't zoned for.

Hi guys my family and I are thinking of places in florida to move. First thing I want to know is is Jacksonville a nice place to live with a lot of things to do? Secondly, What are the best school districts in Jacksonville and the riches place to live or district?

From what I heard from my sister who just moved there it is not worth the move! They have had shootings on the streets and she is sorry to have moved there now!!

One word Traffic! I have worked there for months at a time. The beaches are super crowded. I have a friend who lives in Titusville (further south) he says once he gets on the road to the city the traffic fades away. And when he gets there it is just a quaint little fishing town. He says it is the best kept secret in Florida. I know that Saint Mary's and Fernandina beach is nice. It is only a Half hour from Jax in Georgia. Fort clinch is great and Amelia island is right there too. Don't overlook Georgia's coast.

1. Great Shopping 2. Nice and cheap living 1. Your kids should go to magnet schools and the yhave busses so you know.... the best high schools also like stanton and paxon 2. If your kids are in high school, they can take dual-enrollment where they like take all required high school courses in 2 years then go on to FCCJ (Florida Com. College of Jax.) for 2 years and walk out with an AA degree......... well traffic is one concern but is improving with all this construction...................
