Where do I ask questions about specializing in medical fields?
Where do I ask questions about specializing in medical fields?
I am planning on going to college in Jacksonville, Florida for histology, but am thinking about going back to college after that to specialize in ALS. Do I search for a medical school or a regular college? Where can I ask questions about careers in this field? I found the official ALS Association website, but are there others?

Where can i get acting auditions in florida?
I live in Jacksonville am a teen, going to school and also taking acting classes, I want to know should I get an Agent, manager or should I just go to auditions and if yes where can i get the them at, the addresses and phone numbers?. Also where can I get an agent? I am young and in need auditions for ages 13-17 plz if you can tell me where to get them at? I wont mind if the auditions is in Orlando any where close to jackskonville but now in Miami plz

Since you are under 18, MAKE SURE YOUR PARENTS ARE INVOLVED! You need a Talent Agent to get serious auditions. To get an agent, you need to get GREAT headshots, a good resume, and training from the best. These are enough to get you a commercial agent at least. Getting a GOOD theatrical agent (Film/tv) takes longer. Most good theatrical agents won’t see you unless you’re SAG, have a polished resume, and a demo reel. Commercial agents are more lenient about that. What the best Commercial agents want to see on your resume are good commercial classes, improv, and cold reading. You can get an agent multiple ways. Here are a few common ways: -Mail in an unsealed manilla envelope with a CONCISE coverletter and headshot with the resume stapled on the back. If you have a demoreel include that too. -Attend a showcase and impress them. By showcase I do not mean scammy conventions like IMTA, IPOP, Proscout, or Best New Talent. I mean legit ones like at Actor Connection, Reel pros, Network Studios, etc. -Get a referral from a friend who is with the agency that you’re interested in DON’T -Email them unless they tell you to. IT’S UNPROFESSIONAL! -Call unless they tell you to. ALSO UNPROFESSIONAL! -Walk in and ask for a meeting. UNPROFESSIONAL THREE! -Sign with them if they ask for upfront money, make you take new photos with THEIR photographer, or take THEIR classes. Agent’s ONLY make money when you do. Agents usually make 10% on film/tv and commercials and 20% on commercial print. For the agent interview, be yourself. The agents want to know your personality. Create a conversation with him or her. If you're in the room for at least 45 minutes, they like you. Also, be prepared to have a monologue or two. Better yet, if you have a good scene you can ask the agent to read the other part with you. You can go call or just visit movie production studios for auditions. I live in Greenwood Florida and it's nowhere from tallahassee and pensacola so I can use their airports for transportation. I don't know that much about agents and acting agencies. But to let you know I audition for a movie named Battle Los Angeles that has been filming since the begining of September but I lost the part to Lucas Til. If you really are into acting you should really call the movie studio that is in charge of the movie you want to be in. Also call the studios and ask for audition dates for the characters!!!

Go to collegebound.com! They have everything you need there. I'd try the Art Institute in Orlando. I was going to go there, but it's kind of pricey. Just be sure that's what you want to do. That was my first major and it's a lot of hard work, dedication, and precision. Good luck!

Which is less humid? Where is it easier to play football? Which has better temperature during school months(August-May/June)? which is the more enjoyable city to live in?

less humid: Jacksonville could be anyone's opinion but i would prefer Jacksonville Austin is beating Hot in the summer, i have never been to Jacksonville but i would say Jacksonville is better to play in umm i would say Jacksonville if you dont really like the heat.

Texas is less humid and therefore not feel quite as hot. Florida is REALLY humid and it feels like its over 100 all the time. I would say austin texas

Well, in austin it seems like you're breathing the same hot humid air in september that you were in june, jacksonville at least has sea breezes that make it cooler in my opinion. But thats summer. During school, austins temps can range from twenties to nineties, jacksonville seems to be pretty constantly mild, so it would be nicer, unless youre a snow person.

You should come to Jacksonville...on top of playing football, you can watch JAGUARS GAMES and arena football Sharks

Jacksonville is a rarity to hit 100, but 90s are frequent and high humidity is the norm - however, these are somewhat mitigated by the fairly-constant sea breezes. Wintertime, Jacksonville is probably more comfortable...parts of Texas can get really cold and snowy, while JAX seldom fails to at least make it into the 40s during the day and snow is a once-in-a-decade occurrance. Football is probably fairly miserable in both spots during training and the first month or so of the season - conditions in Jacksonville approach ideal in November and December. Enjoymentwise, tough to say, but Jacksonville has a fairly active entertainment scene and all the big tourist attractions are within a couple of hours drive.

Jacksonville is better, and besides its in Florida, Florida has great weather from what ive heard just a random thing: Houston, Texas would be the worst place to play, its humid AND hot on top of each other its like you can feel peoples sweat in the air its disgusting

college and high school dual enrollment question?
Right now i'm a junior in high school and I've been taking college courses at a Florida State College at Jacksonville, I've been taking three classes each semester since the summer before my junior year. When it comes to the summer before my senior year, I will only have 5 courses to take before I get my AA. I was wondering if I took 5 classes that summer and got my AA before I started my senior year, if I could still take college classes during my senior year while they're free?

I would highly recommend spreading out your classes all the way to your Spring Senior semester so there is no issue with financing. I kind of doubt that they will pay for it since the purpose of the program is to get an AA degree and nothing else.

When I was in 6th grade, I wanted to join the Lavilla School of the arts, but got accepted into James Weldon Johnson College Prep. I attended jwj for 2 years, becofre going back to a regular school Now for my upcoming highschool year, I would Like to join Douglas Anderson school of the arts in Jacksonville florida for dance. I took dance at age 5, in ballet, but have since quit. Would it be a good idea to join an arts school in the area of dance, if i have no previous experiance? Its a regular highschool too, it just focuses more on arts like singing, design, theatre and dance.
