Where can I find a Dental Lab Technician School in Jacksonville, Florida?
I'm very good in ceramics but I'm also very interested in med school. I always wanted to find a combination of both and then I discovered that dental lab technicians are the one's who take molds of patients teeth and craft the teeth. They make bridges, crowns, and dentures! I have the manual dexterity and I also have a keen fascination about teeth. However FCCJ, the community college in jacksonville doesn't have a dental lab technician program. I was wondering do any of you guys know accredited schools in jacksonville that offer a dental leb technician program? I'm only interested in making teeth for patients not cleaning them.

There are aren't many accredited dental lab technician programs in the US right now, and it doesn't look like there are any in Jacksonville. Your nearby choices are: + McFatter Technical Center in Davie FL + Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta GA + Trenholm State in Montgomery AL.

I want to go to Paul Mitchell The School in Jacksonville, Florida. Is it true that with a GED you make less money, or does this even matter in this type of industry? Will people still hire me if I have a GED rather than a high school diploma? Should I be this worried about it, or am I just being anal. I really want to get my GED. Please help me if you have the right information!

When thinking about entering an ultrasound program, you need not be concerned so much about certificate vs. degree. What is important is that you go to an ACCREDITED program, whether it is college or hospital based. An accredited program allows you to take your registry (licensing) exams upon graduation. Once you get licensed, you will never be asked about your schooling again. An employer does not care what route you take to get licensed, they just want you to have that license. Don't waste your time or money on a NON-accredited program. Upon completion and graduation from a NON-accredited program, you must work in the field of sonography for a full year prior to taking your licensing examinations. But, you will have a hard time finding an employer to hire you, unless you are licensed. I would suggest you observe an imaging department to get an idea of what ultrasonographers do daily. There is much more to it than scanning pregnant women. Most people have no idea how much is involved in this career! The Bolles School Bulldogs have won 10 state championship and 2 state championships back to back Last season they went undefeated This season they only lost 1 game - In OT to Cocoa but they should have won Their coach Corky Rogers is the most winningest coach in Florida Football history It is also a boarding school Their rivals Bishop Kenny are pretty good and Tim Tebow's school Nease High School which is in Ponte Vedra,Jacksonville Beach Sandalwood is pretty good(8-3 but no state championship this year) and Bolles is only 10 miles from Sandalwood

Make sure you locate to a nicer neighborhood in Jacksonvile. The beach area is a great place., but Jacksonville has alot of crime. In Florida it is one of, or is the highest in crime. May I suggest a small town just north of Jacksonville that you should check out. It is called Amellia Island. Many people live there and make the small compute into Jacksonville for work. The island which is actuslly a penninsula is so quaint and nice that Ritz Carlton has built there. Also, from there you can take a ferry with your car over to Jacksonville which is a very short trip. If you do move into Jacksonville please take the time to visit Amellia Island, You will not be dissapointed. Linda from Fla.

I love Jacksonville a great deal... it is a beautiful city with a lot to do. Research the area you are moving to as there are some areas that are not all that great. Also look into the schools in the area you are moving as some are good and some are bad. I personally would avoid living on the southside of town as the traffic is horrible, horrible, horrible. The Atlatic Blvd. area near Kernan is a nice area as are the beaches. As for Amelia Island, yes it is beautiful and very quaint... however, unless you are loaded financially, it won't be an option. Good luck and I hope you enjoy living in Jax!

I do not know about Florida but usually you can sign up for cooking classes at a local jr. college and/or a local adult school. You might ask one of your friends or one of their moms also...I know that I have taught all of my kids and many of their friends the basics as well as anything else I could about cooking when they asked! Also realize that if you never try you will never succeed! If you can read, you can cook....get a basic cookbook....look through it first for a recipe you might want to try, start with the shorter recipes first....go pick up the ingrediants at the store....come home and just dive right in....follow the directions and even if you goof the first time you will eventually get it! Also....watch the Food Channel.... I am an accomplished cook and still learn by watching their shows!

I am 21 years old and I don't know how to cook. I dropped out of High school before I had the opportunity to take home ec. I am a mom and need to learn how to cook.

I do not know about Florida but usually you can sign up for cooking classes at a local jr. college and/or a local adult school. You might ask one of your friends or one of their moms also...I know that I have taught all of my kids and many of their friends the basics as well as anything else I could about cooking when they asked! Also realize that if you never try you will never succeed! If you can read, you can cook....get a basic cookbook....look through it first for a recipe you might want to try, start with the shorter recipes first....go pick up the ingrediants at the store....come home and just dive right in....follow the directions and even if you goof the first time you will eventually get it! Also....watch the Food Channel.... I am an accomplished cook and still learn by watching their shows!
