Have you tried using www.craigslist.com? Also try using http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/FL-Jacksonville.html. This website will search an apartment based on your criteria and rating. Hope this help, good luck

As for locations.... Orange Park is nice, but very busy (lots of traffic especially off of Blanding). Mandarin is the best area (it's just across the river from O.P.) in Jacksonville, very safe and probably closer to the schools making your commute about 20 minutes less than O.P. The zip codes in Mandarin are 32223, 32258, 32257 - to make it easier to find an apt. Another great area is Baymeadows. Avoid North or West Jacksonville, there are some not-so-safe neighborhoods. To find rental options, go to www.rent.com or www.move.com for your search. Hope this helps you, good luck with school!
